In 2009, SmartLab has launched its annual Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers course aiming to continue professional development for both inexperienced and experienced teachers.
Candidates of this
years’ batch has commented that certain ideas and principles taught
are practical and focused. The course has covered all aspects in
order to help them become a better teacher. Lessons are extremely
useful and relevant in teaching.
We have invited Mr Ng Foo Keong to conduct a workshop titled –
Metacognition for Mathematical Problem Solving for the candidates on
the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers. Mr Ng
graduated from University of Cambridge and was former lecturer and teacher at National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NIE NTU), Raffles Institution (RI), Junior College and Polytechnic. 100% of the attendees feedback that the workshop is useful and helpful in the use of a different approach to teaching and coaching students.

Adequate guidance was provided during the preparation of the course as trainers gave us feedback on our proposed assignment. In doing so, we knew what to improve on to further enhance our papers.
