Introduction

SCOT was established in 2000 to train teachers to acquire the necessary pedagogical and content knowledge to be successful teachers. We provide training on Singapore Math & Science contents and pedagogy in partnership with University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), UK College of Teachers and Association for Science Education. With the affiliation to SmartLab Education Centre, SCOT has trained the teachers in SmartLab and many others whom had gone on to operate successful tuition/education centres in the region or teach in Singapore government and international education institutions.

	Lectures on pedagogies and education research methodologies would be presented. External lecturer would be invited annually to broaden the level of discussion.
Smaller group discussions and lecturer-participants interactions are conducted as part of active learning to share and learn from each other.
	Group discussions and debate on issues allow participants to challenge and bounce ideas off the lecturer.
